Update on the "Worst Kitchen Contest"......1

Creative Dish Storage in
Your New Kitchen.......2

We are so excited to announce that we have over 20 kitchens submitted for the first annual "Worst Kitchen Contest"!

At first, the kitchens didn’t seem to be too bad, or too hard to beat. But, now the field is filling up with some kitchens which really

could use a remodel...desperately.

To view the current entries, go to our website and click the worst kitchen contest entries.

Spread the word, because time is running out to enter your kitchen for your chance to win!

"We're extremely happy with the way it's turned out.!"

Question: What is the most common interior surface material in cabinetry today?

Answer: A: Melamine

Q: How do I prevent the finish on my cabinets from wearing off?
K. Wright Washington, UT

I see this quite often. Usually it is from too much exposure to water, especially around the sink and dishwasher areas.

One of the other factors, that affects the durability of the finish on cabinetry, is the finish itself. One finish that tends to last the test of time more than others is the catelized conversion varnish. Not many local cabinet shops will use this finish. It is difficult to refinish later, but has a much longer life of protection against wear and tear.
