Question: According the the NKBA guidelines, what height should wall oven controls be located at?

Answer: B: No higher than 48” above the floor.

Q: I am renting a home, and need a temporary flooring material for the kitchen, until the renters are gone. What would you suggest?

Floating wood floors are great for temporary use; I am talking about those that have a locking joint, and don’t require glue for installation. They can look great, be relatively easy to install, and come up in a snap when you are ready to change flooring, or move.

There are also loose lay vinyl floors that do not require glue for installation. They can also suit the purpose, and give you some water protection at the same time.
